I’m a native Mobilian, a graduate of UMS-Wright Preparatory School and attend St. Paul’s Episcopal church, where I’ve been a lifelong member. I graduated from the University of South Alabama where I earned a BS degree in Biomedical Science. Rather than choose a career in the medical field, I entered the insurance business in 1996. In my 23-plus years as an insurance agency owner, I’ve helped my clients through several hurricanes. I have vast knowledge of coastal policies and numerous companies with which I do business. There is not a single area in Mobile and Baldwin Counties where I cannot offer my services.

Coming from a family of educators, I approach insurance with the heart of a teacher. My ultimate goal is for clients to understand their policies and coverage. I work diligently to make sure everyone knows exactly what their policy covers and what it doesn’t. Insurance claims can be stressful times, and it’s far worse if you don’t fully understand your policies.

I’ve always done my best to run a professional and educated agency. Every staff member has over 10 years of insurance experience. We strive to answer any client questions and return phone calls and emails in an expedient manner. Our clients will never have to wait days for a response.

Hello my name is Ryan Reid and a founding partner of Coastal Insurance Group. I have been providing tailored insurance coverage, with a wide range of products, specifically designed for individuals, families and businesses since 2004. As both a family man and local businessman, I understand the need for balancing coverage costs with needs and reliability.

As an independent insurance agent, I have the ability and flexibility to present clients with options that captivity agents are forbidden to offer. Being able to match clients better with the multitude of insurance options, is paramount to customer service. I have always held customer service as my key foundation principle, which should never be taken for granted. I will work tenaciously and diligently for my clients.

I love living on the Alabama gulf coast and I’m actively involved in church, family, the environment, local events and of course sports.

As a graduate from University of South Alabama, I hold bachelor’s degree in finance and depository institutions. I’m also state certified with my Series 6 and 63 financial licenses.

I am a graduate of Murphy High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice and Public Safety from Auburn University at Montgomery.

One of my favorite things about working at Coastal Insurance Group is helping people understand their coverages and advising them on their insurance needs. Being an independent agent allows me to shop around to different carriers to make sure I am getting my clients the best coverage at the best available price. When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my wife, Dominique, and our dog. I also enjoy bicycling, live music, travel, and scuba diving.
